All front-line workers deserve pandemic pay

Essential front-line workers are putting their health and safety on the line for us every day during this pandemic.

We have called them heroes, and hold them up as symbols of strength in this time of crisis.

But we have not given them the recognition that they deserve when it matters the most.

Too many of them have been left out of the government's temporary pandemic pay program.

This includes many workers who have been told that their jobs are too important to shut down and they must sacrifice to keep our province functioning.

Childcare workers, liquor store clerks, and even medical lab technicians were told they’re too important to stay home during the pandemic, but now they’re being told they aren’t important enough to get temporary pandemic pay.

You and your colleagues, or neighbours could even organize to request a phone call, or meeting with your representative to discuss your requests.
